NPFL: Insurance Plot Enyimba Downfall in Benin

Bendel Insurance FC of Benin have affirmed its preparedness for Sunday’s clash with Enyimba FC of Aba in one of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rescheduled games.

Head Coach of Insurance, Baldwin Bazuaye confirmed the Benin Arsenal’s readiness shortly after their morning training session yesterday at the UNIBEN Sports Complex, their temporary home.

Bazuaye, who expressed confidence in his boys, said he expects nothing short of victory come Sunday.

“We are working hard and praying that things workout as planned to get the maximum 3 points that we really need now. Like I always say, Insurance is not afraid of any team in this country. We only respect other clubs and expect same respect from them. We can beat any team home or away. So, we are sure of victory on Sunday.”

Coach Bazuaye said that his boys are in good shape and ready for the Elephants.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Bendel Insurance Supporters Club, Chief Osadolor Ogiefa has tasked players of the club on team play and to ensure that scoring chances are converted timely to ensure the fall of the People’s Elephants on Sunday.

Chief Ogiefa, who expressed disappointment in the 1-1 draw against Rivers United in their last game in which the center referee disallowed Insurance 90 minutes second goal, prayed against such ill luck in Sunday game.

He, however, called on the fans of the club to come out en masse to cheer them to victory.

Insurance are currently placed 9th in Group A with 8 points from 8 games while their visitors, Enyimba FC are third on the log with 11 points from 8 games, however, the outcome of Sunday clash could put Insurance level on points with the former African champions.

The NPFL rescheduled match-up kicks off at 4 pm at the University of Benin Sports Complex.
