NPFL: Go Round Slams Elechi With 3-Match Ultimatum

Technical Adviser of Go Round FC Ngozi Elechi and his assistants, Okey Eleozu and Abiye Iyalla, have been handed a 3-match ultimatum to improve results or get sacked.

The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) new boys are without a win in their last 6 matches, and were held to a goalless draw at home on Sunday by FC IfeanyiUbah, for their fourth draw at the Krisdera Hotel stadium this season.

The Ngozi Elechi-led technical crew has been ordered to secure at least 7 points in their next three matches, starting with a rescheduled match with MFM FC on Wednesday (today).

“The management is not pleased with the spate of poor results over the past couple of weeks and have had to take this action so that they shape up or ship out,” General Manager of Go Round Soni Uboh said in a club statement.

“The team’s priority is to remain in the division and with four home draws in just the first round and no win in the last six games; it means we would have an uphill task trying to stay up.”

To keep his job, Elechi who guided the team to the NPFL will have to amass 7 points from the club’s next three games against MFM FC at home, FC Ifeanyi Ubah in Nnewi and Wikki Tourists at home.
