NPFL: Ejiogu Expresses Readiness For Tough Clash With Leaders Lobi Stars

Promising Niger Tornadoes forward Mubarak Ejiogu says his team is ready to take the maximum points at stake when they face Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) leaders Lobi Stars in a tough home clash on Matchday 25.

Ejiogu is hoping to help the Minna-based outfit close the gap on the continental places.

Niger Tornadoes are presently fifth on the league table with 37 points from 24 matches and a win against Lobi Stars will narrow the gap to within three points of the leaders who are currently on 43 points after 24 games.

In his words via footballlive.ng, Ejiogu said: “We want to win and we’re ready for them.”

“It’s going to be tough but we have been preparing for this game for many weeks.

“The result from the game will be crucial and so we want to win so that we can close the gap at the top.

“We respect them (Lobi Stars) but we’re not afraid of them. Certainly we’ll have the fans behind us and hopefully we can meet their expectation.” He concluded.
