NPFL: Again, Enyimba’s Osho Commends Tactics After Plateau Utd Stalemate (AUDIO)

Enyimba boss Fatai Osho has again praised his tactical input after his side forced Plateau United to a barren draw in Jos on matchday 29 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Osho, never one to shy away from highlighting his tactical input when results go their way, was also full of praise for his players’ part in ensuring a share of the spoils in Jos.

The draw leaves Enyimba still within the title mix with the Peoples Elephant in fifth place on 49 points, four behind leaders Akwa United with a game in hand.

Although the game at the New Jos Stadium was marred with violent scenes at the end after fans attacked his players, Osho was more than happy to focus on what transpired on the pitch itself.

“Plateau United team did very well, our resilience really helped us and again our tactics,” he said.

“The players were so disciplined they were able to stick to the tactics, our tactical agreement, they stuck to it and we kept a very good shape that’s why we were able to get this draw.

“We are not taking anything away from the Plateau United team, a decent team at that, but we were so resolute because we know what we want in this particular game.”

Enyimba will have a chance to consolidate on the away point when they welcome on strugglers Warri Wolves to Aba on matchday 30 in midweek.

Plateau United who are enduring a disappointing campaign are away at Rivers United next.
