NPFL: Abd’Allah Agrees New Enyimba Deal

Enyimba coach Usman Abd’Allah has agreed a new one-year contract with the 2-time CAF Champions League winners,  bringing to an end speculations linking him with the vacant roles at Rangers and Akwa United.

The soft-spoken tactician, who guided Enyimba to a record 8th Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title last season, is expected to put pen to paper on the new deal on return to Nigeria from France next week.

“I have agreed a new 1-year deal with Enyimba after discussing terms with the management,” Abd’Allah told busybuddiesng.com.

“I had offers from Rangers and Akwa United but decided to stick with  Enyimba to consolidate on what we have achieved so far.”

The former Kano Pillars assistant coach led the People’s Elephant to the semi-final of the CAF Confederation Cup last year, losing to eventual champions, Raja Casablanca of Morocco after he took permanent charge of the team following the resignation of former handler, Paul Aigbogun.

Enyimba and Kano Pillars will represent Nigeria in the 2019/2020 CAF Champions, a competition the Aba Landlords won in 2003 and 2004.
