Novak Djokovic’s father has blamed Grigor Dimitrov for spreading coronavirus during the Adria Tour organized by his son.
Grigor Dimitrov was first to announce he had contacted the virus before Borna Coris, Viktor Troicki and Novak Djokovic’s test results came out positive.
Djokovic’s spouse Jelena, health teacher Marco Panichi and Dimitrov’s trainer also contracted the virus.
Djokovic’s Adria Tour attracted a crowd of people within the Serbian capital as participants embraced and partied as they did in pre-COVID-19 days. Djokovic additionally organised nights out in Belgrade and photographs and movies of him dancing with other tennis stars made it to social media.
However, Djokovic’s father Srdjan believes Dimitrov was responsible for the unfortunate spread of the virus at the charity event.
“Why did it happen? Because that man probably came sick, who knows from where,” Srdjan Djokovic told RTL Croatia TV.
“He didn’t test here, he tested somewhere else I think that’s not fair. Nobody is feeling well because of this situation. He inflicted damage to both Croatia and to us as a family in Serbia,” Srdjan Djokovic mentioned.
Novak Djokovic alternatively, has already apologised two times for the coronavirus circumstances within the event, which has been called off.
“I am so deeply sorry our tournament has caused harm. Everything the organisers and I did the past month, we did with a pure heart and sincere intentions.
“We believed the event met all well being protocols and the well being of our area appeared in just right situation to in the end unite other people for philanthropic causes.
