NNL Super 4: Tournament Kickoff Today In Enugu

The Enugu State Football Association has assured a hitch-free Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4 tournament which kicks off today at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

State FA chairman Chidi Ofo-Okenwa who also doubles as head of the NNL said the Enugu State government has provided all necessary support to ensure that the tournament which will decide the 2018/2019 NNL Champions lives up standards.

“We are in very high spirits expecting the best of games,” Ofo-Okenwa said.

“We are ready and thanks to our amiable sports-loving governor for his support and the FA members in Enugu for accepting to host this soccer showpiece.

“We urge all soccer faithful in Enugu to come en-masse to watch the best of football artistry in the most important league,” he added.

According to the Head of Media, NNL, Amar Ignis, a press conference and a technical meeting of all four competing teams will hold in the morning prior to kickoff.

Adamawa United, Jigawa Golden Stars, Akwa Starlets and Warri Wolves will all jostle for the right to be crowned 2018/2019 champions of the NNL.

A 12;30pm friendly match between Gburugburu Starlets U-10 team and Team Grassroots Managers will herald the start of the competition after which Adamawa United will take to the field against Jigawa Golden Stars at 2pm.

Akwa Starlets and Warri Wolves will bring Day 1 proceedings to a close in a 4pm kickoff.
