NNL Shifts 2018 Kickoff Date Until Further Notice

The start date for the 2017/2018 Nigeria National League (NNL) season has been shifted to a later period.

The decision was made by the league body in a bid to allow more time for crucial logistics to be tidied up.

Kickoff date for the 2017/18 season was initially scheduled for the first week of March before pressing developments prompted the postponement.

While making the announcement, the league body’s media head,Amar Ignis revealed that a new commencement date will be revealed soonest.

In a related development, the league body will conduct stadia /facility inspection as from March 2 to 3. To this effect, NNL clubs have been directed to submit their home match venues.

Clubs have also been told that they have a March 7 deadline for registration with the league’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Lawrence Katken revealing that there would be no extension.

The league body now has twenty (20) teams in the Northern and Southern section following ratification of the format by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
