NNL: Clubs Issued Two-Week Ultimatum To Finalise Paperwork For 2019/2020 Season

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has fixed a two-week deadline for clubs to fully comply with all registration requirements and turn in all necessary paperwork before the commencement of the 2019/2020 season.

According to a statement signed by the NNL head of media, Amar Ignis, club and player registration will begin on Monday, 30 September and end on Monday, 14 October.

The kickoff date for the new season remains Friday, 1 November as was unanimously agreed by the clubs during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the NNL held at the end of the Super Four tournament in Enugu last month.

Forty-six teams comprised of an even split of twenty-three teams each in the Northern and Southern conferences will compete in the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The teams were grouped into four divisions – A1, A2, B1, B2 – and promotion to the top tier Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will be secured by teams who finish top of their respective groups.
