Nigerian hockey international Wale Ajibua who is on trials at Italian outfit Hockey Team Uras played his first match for the club in a friendly on Tuesday.
The versatile defender joined the club on a three-month long trial and following the successful completion of his medicals last Thursday has now made his debut for the Italian outfit in a 5-4 loss to fellow Italian outfit Ferrini Hockey club.
The silver medal winner at the 2018 National Sports Festival reportedly put in an excellent performance in the preseason friendly and will hope to secure more playing time as Uras continue their preparations ahead of the new hockey season.
Ajibua’s Compatriot Tosin Fowobaje who is in his fourth season at the club was also involved in the preseason encounter.
