Nigerian-Born Player To Give Evidence On English FA At An Inquiry

Nigerian-born female player, Eniola Aluko, is expected to give evidence on the English Football Association at a Parliamentary inquiry on October 18.

England international Aluko, who is the sister of former Super Eagles Sone Aluko, has been in the news for the better part of the year after she accused sacked England women’s head coach Mark Sampson of “bullying and discrimination”.

Aluko’s England teammate Lianne Sanderson spoke out in her defence and she is also expected to testify at the hearing.

Sampson had earlier been cleared of any wrongdoing from Eniola Aluko’s allegations before he was sacked last month for “unacceptable behaviour” in a previous role.

FA boss Martin Glenn and chairman Greg Clarke will also give evidence at the hearing alongside FA technical director Dan Ashworth and human resources director Rachel Brace however embattled Sampson is not on the list.

The hearing in two weeks time is part of the Culture, Media and Sport select committee’s inquiry into sports governance.
