Nigeria National League: Delta Force FC President Suspended Indefinitely

The President of Delta Force FC of Asaba, Moses Etu have been suspended indefinitely by the Nigeria National League (NNL) governing body over his “negative” Facebook comments.

An official statement released by the NNL explains that Etu’s comments “had negative effect on the image of the League, thereby causing concerns amongst football stakeholders”.

However, in another Facebook post, Etu denied allegations of any wrong doing, saying: “My attention has been drawn to my post on the 3 wise men which people have read all sorts of meaning to.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, my post has nothing to do with the NNL league or any other thing patterning to the league.”

“I also make bold to say that it has nothing to do with the Leadership of NFF which I hold in high esteem.it is an internal matter affecting me and my club.”

Mr. Etu’s case has now been forwarded to the Integrity Unit of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for further disciplinary considerations.
