Nasarawa United Climb Out Of Relegation Zone With Late Win Over Rangers

Nasarawa United have climbed out of the relegation zone after they defeated Enugu Rangers 2-1 at home in what was a Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) clash at the Lafia Township Stadium on Monday evening.

The Solid Miners took an early lead through Abubakar Abdullahi’s 9th minute strike before they were pegged back by Rangers star Okey Odita with 12 minutes remaining.

It took the timely intervention of defender Seun Sogbeso from the penalty spot in the 5th minute of added time for the hosts to get a much needed win.

The late victory takes Nasarawa United (6 points) out of the relegation zone and three places upward from 17th to 14th spot while Enugu Rangers (6 points) drop one place from 15th to 16th position.
