Mutu Set To Be Appointed Astra Giurgui Coach

Former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu is reportedly set to take over at Romanian side Astra Giurgiu, in what would be his first coaching role.

According to the report via Calciomercato.it, Mutu has been chosen to replace Edi Iordanescu in the bid to revive the team after a disappointing start to the new campaign.

Astra, who won the Romanian title in 2014-15, have started the new campaign with back-to-back defeats.

Mutu, 39, has been working for the Romanian Football Federation until the latest development.

Apart from Chelsea, Adrian Mutu also played for clubs like Inter Milan, Hellas Verona, Parma, Juventus and Fiorentina.
