Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has debunked rumours about him leaving for French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

He also denied that he would soon be signing a new five-year deal with the Red Devils.

Widespread reports had earlier claimed that Mourinho wants to leave for PSG but he was quick to distance himself from those reports.

The rumours emanated from the interview he gave to a French television on Sunday where he said that he would not end his career at Manchester United and that he was “still a coach with ambitions, and with the desire to do new things“.

When asked about his comments on Tuesday during his pre-match press conference ahead of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) game with Benfica,  the 54-year old Portuguese manager said:

“I’m not signing a new five-year contract and I’m not leaving for PSG.”
