Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho would face no further punishment following his dismissal during Saturday’s English Premier League (EPL) game at Southampton.
Mourinho was sent off by centre referee Craig Pawson after he stepped onto the pitch in stoppage time.
The English FA decided that no additional punishment was necessary after receiving the referee’s report. This latest development would come as a relief to Mourinho who has often been on the wrong side of the FA.
The former Chelsea and Real Madrid was handed two one-match bans by the FA for separate incidents last season.
Mourinho oversaw Manchester United’s 5th league win in 6 matches with a 1-0 win over Southampton courtesy a 20th minute strike from new summer signing Romelu Lukaku.
