Super Eagles forward Victor Moses and Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala were among the biggest winners at the 2018 AITEO/NFF Awards ceremony held at the Grand Ballroom of the Eko Hotel and Suites, V.I, Lagos on Monday night.
Chelsea wing back Moses was named Player of the Year for Men while Oshoala won the Player of the Year for Women in the first edition of the awards.
Former Super Eagles captains Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha and Kanu Okocha were also honoured as part of the legends eleven.
Dignitaries present at the award include FIFA President Gianni Infantino, CAF President Ahmad Ahmad, NFF President Amaju Pinnick, First Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi, FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura and Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Ex-Nigeria internationals like Garba Lawal, Segun Odegbami, Mutiu Adepoju, Wilson Oruma, Austin Okocha, Friday Ekpo, Christian Chukwu, Daniel Amokachi, Emmanuel Okala, Felix Owolabi, Femi Opabunmi, Ann Chiejine and Rita Nwadike were also present at the awards, with some of them presenting awards.
