Montella Survives Sevilla Sack As Sporting Director Oscar Arias Face Dismissal

The Sevilla board has passed a vote of confidence on manager Vicenzo Montella despite the team’s run of poor results.

Montella has come under heavy criticisms after he led the Spanish La Liga outfit to a run of eight winless games.

He was widely expected to lose his job but the Sevilla hierarchy has decided to give him time to turn things around after the board held a meeting on Tuesday but Sporting Director Oscar Arias was not spared.

Arias was a replacement for the much respected Monchi who left for Italian giants AS Roma.

He will lose his job after the board agreed for his dismissal for his role in the club’s recent woes.‎
