Monaco Secure Barreca Transfer From Torino

French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco have completed the signing of Antonio Barreca from Italian Serie A side Torino.

Italian full-back Barreca, 23, joins 2016/17 French champions Monaco on a five-year deal after both clubs agreed a fee of €2m plus midfielder Soualiho Meite.

His transfer was confirmed by the club on Tuesday morning via a statement which read: “AS Monaco is pleased to announce the signing for five years of 23-year-old Antonio Barreca from Torino FC.”

In his first interview as a Monaco player, Barreca said: “I’m very happy to have signed for Monaco.”

“Monaco have proved in previous seasons to be a great European club, there’s a very ambitious project here and I’m pleased to be a part of it.

“I can’t wait to start working with the staff and high quality players. I will give everything to progress and contribute to the team.” He concluded.
