Modric, Mbappe And Others Win World Cup Awards

Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric, Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe as well as the duo of Thibaut Courtois and Harry Kane won various awards at the end of Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Modric could not prevent his Croatia side from being beaten 4-2 by France in the final but he received some form of compensation after he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, also known as the Golden Ball.

Mbappe was on target for France in the final and was named the Young Player of the tournament at the end of the game.

Chelsea goalkeeper Courtois won the Golden Glove award for the best goalkeeper after his contributions were pivotal as Belgium secured their best World Cup result, a third place finish.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane scored six goals for the Three Lions of England to emerge as the highest goalscorer (Golden Boot recipient) at the tournament in Russia.
