Milan Set To Terminate Ricardo Montolivio’s Contract

Seven-time European champions AC Milan have concluded plans to terminate the contract of Italian international midfielder Ricardo Montolivio.

According to the report from popular Italian media outlet calciomercato.com, the relationship between AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso and Montolivio has turned sour prompting the move to terminate his contract with the club.

The state of the relationship between the two parties was the reason behind Montolivio’s failure to make a single appearance during the club’s preseason tour of the United States this summer.

His agents have also been blamed for the current situation.

In addition, Gattuso is also said to be fed up of the veteran midfielder’s attitude and lazy approach.

Ricardo Montolivio joined AC Milan from fellow Italian club Fiorentina in 2012 and went on to become a key midfielder for the Rossoneri.

He has scored 2 goals in 66 appearances for the Italian national team since he made his debut in 2011.
