Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has expressed his excitement after his Chinese Super League (CSL) outfit Tianjin Teda recorded their first league win of the season on Sunday.
Mikel played for the entire duration of the game as Tianjin Teda defeated Tianjin Quanjin 3-2 at home with Ghanaian forward Frank Acheampong netting three goals while the visitors got their goals through Alexandre Pato and Anthony Modeste.
The former Chelsea midfielder thereafter took to his official Twitter to celebrate the win. He said: “First win of the season – Done ✅ We build from here.”
Tianjin Teda now have four points from three league games and are in 8th spot while Tianjin Quanjin are further down by three places in 11th position with three points from three league games.
