Lionel Messi again showed why he is regarded by many as the greatest player ever after he produced a masterclass to lead his beloved Barcelona side into the quarterfinal at the expense of Premier League champions Chelsea.

With their UEFA Champions League (UCL) last 16 tie delicately balanced at 1-1 from the 1st leg in England, Messi edged Barcelona ahead with just three minutes of the second leg gone before teeing up young French winger Ousmane Dembele for the second goal on 20 minutes.

Chelsea thereafter finished the 1st half strongly and also started the 2nd half in a similar fashion but all of that turned out to be in vain as the aforementioned Messi wrapped up the game with the 3rd goal in the 63rd minute for his 100th UCL goal to take Barcelona into the quarterfinals with a 4-1 aggregate win.
