Following Mr Amaju Pinnick’s threat to sue media houses for peddling stories of an alleged probe ordered by President Buhari, the Punch online – the first media outlet to break the story – have since taken it down.

Punch online were forced to take down the posted after it was published at about 1:33 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2019.

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was alleged to have misappropriated funds meant for the federation and President Buhari had supposedly ordered the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate him.

Although there has been no denial or affirmation of such claims from the presidency or the anti-graft agency, the NFF President has vehemently denied the allegations in a series of tweets where he also threatened legal action against the media outfit.
