Manchester United Sign Lee Grant On A Free Transfer

Premier League giants Manchester United have signed goalkeeper Lee Grant on a free transfer.

The 35-year-old shot stopper joins the Red Devils on a two-year deal after his contract at Stoke City ended.

He moved to Stoke City in 2016 but made just five league starts last season with his last appearance coming in a 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on November 29, 2017.

He becomes the Old Trafford giants’ third summer signing after Portuguese full back Diogo Dalot and Brazilian midfielder Fred.

Lee Grant will replace Sam Johnstone as the club’s third choice goalkeeper after the 25-year-old secured a £6.5m deal to English Championship side West Bromwich Albion.

Grant has played over 500 professional games for Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley and Stoke City.
