Manchester United: Pogba, Martial, Shaw, Four Others To Miss Leicester Clash

Manchester United could be without up to seven players for Saturday’s clash with Leicester City at Old Trafford with Paul Pogba among those ruled out.

Pogba is set to miss the game with the ankle injury that forced him to withdraw from international duty with France, while Anthony Martial (thigh), Luke Shaw (thigh) and Diogo Dalot (hip) are also out.

Eric Bailly is already sidelined after knee surgery, and Jesse Lingard (illness) and Aaron Wan-Bissaka (back) are doubtful, according to Sportsdaily.

“The treatment room has been busy and still is so we don’t really know who’s going to be available,” said manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“There’s maybe Aaron, maybe Jesse and I think maybe that’s it from the ones that pulled out, but I can’t promise those two will be available either.

“Pogba won’t be fit, no, unless he’s had a miraculous recovery overnight from yesterday to today or tonight to tomorrow, he’s not been ready to do 100 per cent training, no.

“We hope more can be ready for West Ham next week and Paul and Anthony are in that category. I think they’ll be ready for then and can’t say more than that really.

“You’ve got players who can come in (against Leicester) with loads of experience – Juan (Mata), Nemanja (Matic) and Ash (Young) who didn’t start the first game and have got to step up. The average age might go up.”
