Manchester United Get New Premier League Season Underway With Leicester City On Friday Night

Last season’s runners-up Manchester United will get the new Premier League season underway when they entertain Leicester City at Old Trafford on Friday night (August 10, 2018).

This was revealed on Friday morning after the league’s broadcast partners, Sky Sports and BT Sport, released fixtures for the first set of Premier League games.

It will be the second successive season that Leicester City have kicked off the Premier League campaign after last season’s opening match, a 4-3 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

The standout match of week 1 is the huge clash between Arsenal and champions Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

According to the TV fixtures released earlier, the match will take place on Sunday evening and it will be preceded by Liverpool’s home game against West Ham United at Anfield.
