Manchester City Winger Patrick Roberts Completes Girona Loan Move

Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts has sealed his loan transfer to Spanish La Liga outfit Girona ahead of the new season.

The 21-year-old joins Girona on a season-long loan deal from the Premier League champions.

His transfer was confirmed by the lowly Catalan club on Thursday evening, some days before the start of the new Spanish La Liga season.

The former England youth international has spent the last two-and-a-half years on loan at Scottish Premier League (SPL) champions Celtic.

He scored 15 goals in 55 appearances for the former European champions.

Patrick Roberts has made just one Premier League appearance since signing for the Citizens from newly promoted English top flight side Fulham.

Girona is co-owned by City’s parent company, the City Football Group, who bought a 44.3% stake in the Catalan club in 2017.
