Lokosa, Madu Bag LBA Accolades For February

Kano Pillars striker Junior Lokosa and Heartland head coach Ramson Madu have won the League Bloggers Awards (LBA) for NPFL player and manager of the month for February respectively.

Lokosa won the player of the month award ahead of Enugu Rangers goalkeeper Femi Thomas, Kwara United striker Stephen Alfred and Wikki Tourists defender Isaac Giwa.

The leading goalscorer in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) scored 3 goals in 4 league games in the month of February to lead his side to an unbeaten run in the month under review.

He has now won LBA back-to-back after claiming the player’s award in the first edition (month of January).

Heartland head coach Ramson Madu was also rewarded with the LBA for coach of the month after he led his team to nine points out of a possible 12

Madu led Heartland to home victories over Kwara United and Wikki Tourists and also masterminded his side’s away win at Niger Tornadoes with the only loss recorded coming in the Oriental Derby at FC Ifeanyiubah.

Nominees for March edition of the LBA will be unveiled in the first week of next month.
