Liverpool Regain Top Four Spot With Swansea Mauling

Liverpool are back in the top four after they secured a big win against bottom club Swansea City in their week 20 league clash at Anfield on Tuesday evening.

UEFA Champions League (UCL) qualification rivals Tottenham Hotspur had earlier moved above the Merseyside club into fourth spot with a 5-2 win over Southampton but a 5-0 victory against managerless Swansea has aided Jurgen Klopp’s men to leapfrog Tottenham back into the top four.

Second half goals from Roberto Firmino (2), Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain aided the big win after Philippe Coutinho’s opening goal in the first half.

The convincing victory takes Liverpool (4th) to 38 points above Tottenham (37 points) while their Welsh opponents stay rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with just 13 points from 20 games.
