Ligue 1 Review: PSG Maintain Perfect Start With Angers Win

French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) maintained their winning start to the new season following the 3-1 win over Angers at Parc des Princes on Saturday evening.

PSG took a 12th minute lead through Edinson Cavani but the advantage lasted for just ten minutes after new signing Theo Kehrer was penalised for a foul in the box.

French midfielder Thomas Mangani tucked away the spot kick to level matters for the visitors.

Angers thereafter kept their more illustrious opponents at bay until the halftime interval.

The second half, however, proved to be a step too far for the away side after goals from Kylian Mbappe and Neymar gave the hosts a 3-1 victory.

With the win, PSG maintain both their perfect start to the new season and stay at the top of the table.

In pick of the other games, Dijon joined PSG at the top of the table with three victories from three games following the stunning 4-0 away win over OGC Nice.
