Ligue 1 Review: Monaco Close Gap On Leaders With Strasbourg Win

French champions AS Monaco have moved within 11 points of league leaders Paris Saint Germain (PSG) after they saw off their hosts, Racing Strasbourg, 3-1 in a Matchday 29 clash on Friday night.

Stephane Bahoken scored for the hosts in the 19th minute to cancel out Stevan Jovetic’s opener for Monaco before further goals from the in-form Rony Lopes and Fabinho in the first half handed the visitors the win.

Monaco stay in second spot but move to 63 points and 11 points behind leaders PSG (74 points).

They also move seven points clear of third placed Olympique Marseille while Strasbourg are stuck on 15th spot with 31 points.
