Olympique Lyon have moved past rivals Marseille into a UEFA Champions League (UCL) spot following their straightforward 3-0 home win over Amiens in a French Ligue 1 Matchday 33 clash at the Groupama Stadium on Saturday.
Former Real Madrid youngster Mariano Diaz gave the home side the lead on the half hour mark before two goals in two minutes from Memphis Depay and Bertrand Traore wrapped up the points for Bruno Genesio’s men.
The win was enough to lift Lyon from 4th to 3rd and the last UCL place at the expense of Olympique Marseille who play Troyes on Sunday.
