Ligue 1 Review: Lyon Capitalise On Monaco Slip Up To Move Into Second Place With Nantes Win

Olympique Lyon have moved into second place behind champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) after they leapfrogged Monaco into second spot with a 2-0 over Nantes in their French Ligue 1 Matchday 35 clash on Saturday.

Memphis Depay and Bertrand Traore were on target for the former champions as they secured an important win in the race for UEFA Champions League (UCL) football next season.

Monaco played out a goalless draw at home to Stade Amiens in a bad tempered match which saw two players sent off towards the end of the game.

Substitute Adama Diakhaby (Monaco) and Pierre- Gouano (Stade Amiens) were sent off during the game which dented AS Monaco’s UCL push.
