Leon Balogun Doubtful For Eagles World Cup Clash With Croatia

New Brighton & Hove Albion signing Leon Balogun is a serious doubt for the Super Eagles ahead of their Russia 2018 World Cup Opening match with Croatia in Group D.

Leon Balogun picked up a knock in training and was forced to miss Thursday’s training session according to camp sources.

As a result of his injury, head coach Gernot Rohr was forced to settle for the central defensive partnership of Kenneth Omeruo and William Troost-Ekong during Thursday’s training session that was held behind closed doors.

If Leon Balogun fails to recover to recover from the injury, Kenneth Omeruo is almost certain to replace him for the game against Croatia at the Kaliningrad Stadium in Kaliningrad on Saturday night.
