LEAKED: Super Eagles Revenge Lineup Against South Africa

Injuries and suspension woes might seem like a bit of challenge for the Super Eagles in their all-important clash against South Africa on Saturday, but Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr might have a trick or two up his sleeves.

With Abdullahi Shehu, Francis Uzoho and top scorer Odion Ighalo sidelined due to injury and key midfield engine, Wilfred Ndidi suspended the Eagles lineup will see a major shakeup for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Bafana Bafana.

Speaking to busybuddiesng.com, Rohr said: “We are trying some new players to go to South Africa to get revenge because it’s been a year and a half already, that was the first game in Uyo.

“The players that are injured, I have to do without them, that is why there are new players in the team and I believe they can get the job done when we go to South Africa.”

With first-choice Francis Uzoho out injured, Gernot Rohr is likely to feature Akpeyi in goal trumping Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

Meanwhile, Jamilu Collins, Leon Balogun, Ola Aina and William Troost-Ekong could man the backline.

With the absence of Wilfred Ndidi and Mikel Obi, John Ogu will have an important role in midfield supported by Oghenekaro Etebo and Mikel Agu.

In attack, Arsenal’s man on fire Alex Iwobi and Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho should complicate issues for Stuart Baxter’s defense with Ahmed Musa playing as a false nine.

The game will kick-off at 2 pm Nigerian time.
