Lamine Kone Joins Strasbourg On Temporary Deal

Ivorian international defender Lamine Kone has signed for French Ligue 1 side Racing Strasbourg on a temporary deal from Sunderland.

The 29-year-old joins Strasbourg on a season-long deal from English League One outfit Sunderland until June 2019.

His Sunderland exit was announced by the club via a tweet which said: “Lamine Kone has joined RC Strasbourg on a season-long loan.”

Lamine Kone joined Sunderland from another French outfit Lorient in January 2016 and was instrumental as he helped them the Black Cats to escape Premier League relegation under manager Sam Allardyce at the end of the 2016/17 season.

He scored three goals in 69 appearances for the club.
