Ladies In Sports To Hold Virtual Conference For 2020 Edition

Ladies In Sports International, a non-governmental organisation that promotes women in sports and facilitates improved quality of life and better opportunities for women athletes has announced the 2020 edition of the annual Ladies In Sport summit.

The Ladies In Sport, 2020 Virtual Edition will take place on 1 July and will be held online.

While previous editions of the annual event have always held in physical locations, the prevailing global circumstances have necessitated a novel change this year.

The event will, nonetheless, still be as impactful as always with an array of upcoming, established and veteran world-class women athletes on hand to provide insightful knowledge and networking opportunities for participants.

Athletes billed to feature in the virtual edition of the Ladies In Sport summit include D’Tigers and Flammes Carolo of France power forward Evelyn Akhator who led Nigeria to the 2017 and 2019 Afrobasket champion.

US-based track and field star Ruth Usoro who has won medals in the 100m, 200m, long jump and triple jump events across the globe will grace the event as will Zambian international and Shanghai Shengli forward Barbra Banda.

The lineup is concluded by veteran table tennis champion and African women’s record Olympics appearance maker Funke Oshonaike.
