La Liga Review: Real Madrid Climb To 3rd With Win Over Leganes

Real Madrid have moved into the top three after they secured a 3-1 comeback win over their hosts Leganes in a rescheduled league game played on Wednesday night.

Unai Bustinza gave the lowly side a 6th minute lead before Lucas Vazquez equalised for the Los Merengues five minutes later.

Casemiro added a second goal for Zinedine Zidane’s side around the half hour mark paving the way for captain Sergio Ramos to wrap up the points for Real Madrid with a stoppage time penalty for his 72nd goal in the club’s colours.

The European champions have now won four successive games in the bid to rescue their ailing season.

The win means Real Madrid (48 points) climb above Valencia (46 points) into third spot while Leganes stay in 13th position with 29 points.
