A late Pablo Hernandez strike ensured that Celta Vigo beat struggling Las Palmas 2-1 in their Spanish La Liga Matchday 27 clash to further plunge their opponents into deeper relegation troubles.

After a goalless first half, Erik Esposito shot the visitors into the lead but Celta Vigo hit back almost immediately through Jonny before Pablo Hernandez struck the winner in the 89th minute to hand the hosts all the points at stake.

The win takes Celta Vigo (38 points) two places from 11th to 9th spot while Las Palmas (20 points) stay in the last relegation place.
