Getafe have moved into the top 10 in the Spanish La Liga as they continue to defy the odds as a newly promoted side with the latest win achieved following the 3-0 thrashing of Celta Vigo at home in a Matchday 24 clash played on Monday night.

Angel Rodriguez scored a brace either side of the interval and either side of Jorge Molina’s strike to hand the hosts the comprehensive victory over their more illustrious opponents.

The big win catapults Getafe from 11th spot into the top 10 (9th) with 33 points from 24 league matches while Celta Vigo drop out of the top 10 (10th) to 11th place after recording 32 points from the same number of league games.
