Kylian Mbappe Wins Golden Boy Award

PSG and France striker Kylian Mbappe has won the 2017 Golden Boy award.

The 18 year-old beat Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, and fellow French international Ousmane Dembele to the award which recognises the best Under-21 player in Europe during a calendar year.

Mbappe was one of the star figures for Monaco last season, scoring 26 goals and providing 14 assists, as The Red and Whites cruised to their first Ligue 1 title since 2000. His goals in the Champions League also helped Monaco reach the semifinal for the first time since 2004.

His exceptional performances earned him a loan move to PSG where he’s scored four times in all competitions already.

Mbappe succeeds Renato Sanches who won the award last year.
