Kwara United Sign 14 New Players Ahead of New Season

Kwara United Football Club have unveiled 14 new players ahead of the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Ilorin-based club showcased twelve players and two goalkeepers on Friday morning at the Akure Township Stadium.

The names of the players and their respective former side are:

Sadiq Abdulrazaq, Okoli Kenneth Okoli (FC Ifeanyi Ubah); Ebenezer Oyeyemi, Mohammed Huseini (Katsina United); Solomon Owello, Peter Momoh, Andrew Ikefe, Chinedu Nwanze, Edwin Nwakamma, Usman Mohammed (Niger Tornadoes).

Others include Wilfred Ammeh (MFM FC); Koyoyo Yusuf (Sokoto United); Emmanuel Sunday (Sunshine Stars) and Asuquo Unwana (Akwa Starlets).

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the head coach, Abubakar Bala, says the signing was an “outcome and good result of our hard work.”

“I am OK with these players for now,” he added.

“There are still much to do, we are still monitoring, scouting for more good players, these are the ones we have discovered and satisfied with for now.

“Rooms are still open for other good players to join us before the proper unveiling in Ilorin.”

The Harmony Warriors are in intense training ahead of Saturday’s Gold Cup Pre-season Tourney final against Sunshine Stars.
