Former IAAF World Half Marathon Champion Abraham Kiprotich and Herpha Guta have emerged respective winners in the male and female category at the 2018 edition of the Lagos City Marathon.

French athlete Kiprotich finished the 42km race in 2hrs 8 minutes to win the $50k cash prize at stake for the winner.

Herpha Guta of Ethiopia emerged winner in the female category as she was the first woman to cross the finish line.

In the pick of the other categories, Iliya Pam is N3m richer after he emerged as the first Nigerian to get to the finish line.
