Tottenham Hotspur star Victor Wanyama has won the Premier League Goal of the Month award for February.
The Kenyan midfielder struck a bouncing ball from outside the box to help side to a 2-2 draw at Liverpool on February 4.
Wanyama saw off competition from Danilo, Mario Lemina, Jose Izquierdo (twice), Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero and Adam Smith to win the award.
Speaking about the award, the former Celtic and Southampton midfield enforcer said: “That was one of my best goals I’ve ever scored.”
“I just reacted before the Liverpool players.
“I thought I’d just let it go because the ball was bouncing and I didn’t want to think too much. And I just let it fly.” he concluded.
His goal won from the combined votes of a panel of experts and from the public via the Carling Tap and Carling website.
