Mondher Kebaier will take over as Tunisia’s national coach following the departure of Frenchman Alain Giresse the Tunisian Football Federation announced on Tuesday.

The 49-year old Kebaier will be formally presented at the federation headquarters on Thursday.

He had previously Tunisian giants Club Africain and Esperance Sportif de Tunis.

Frenchman Giresse spent less than a year as coach before vacating the post on August 21 for yet to be explained reasons.

Giresse, 67, who had formerly coached Gabon, Mali and Senegal, guided Tunisia to the semi-finals of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
