Juventus Set To Replace Pirlo With Allegri

Andrea Pirlo is set to be sacked as Juventus manager with former boss Massimiliano Allegri appointed to replace him according to reports in Italy.

The club has reportedly moved to correct their mistake in appointing rookie club legend Pirlo as Allegri’s replacement last summer.

Juve endured a disappointing season under Pirlo, finishing fourth in Serie A and crashing out of the Champions League to Porto in the last 16.

Allegri was in charge of Juventus from 2014-19, winning five successive league titles, and has not taken a job since. He also reached the final of the Champions League twice with the club.

The 53-year-old has reportedly verbally agreed to return and will sign a contract on Thursday.
