The top two teams in the Italian Serie A, Napoli and Inter Milan, failed to live up to the expectations of goals after both sides played out a goalless draw in Naples.
The home side could not breakdown a resolute Inter Milan outfit and both sides had to settle for a draw. The result was enough to preserve the unbeaten record of both teams though it must be pointed out that Napoli’s winning start to the season came to an abrupt end with the result.
Former Italian international Fabio QuagIiarella scored one of the goals as Sampdoria thrashed lowly Crotone 5-0 to move into the top five on the league table behind Napoli, Inter Milan, champions Juventus and Lazio.
