Iran Snatch Late Victory Over Morocco In Group B Opener

Iran got their Russia 2018 World Cup campaign to a great start after they snatched a late 1-0 win over North African side Morocco in the opening game in Group B.

Carlos Queiroz’ side took the maximum points on offer following the 90th minute own goal scored by St. Pauli FC of Germany player Aziz Bouhaddouz.

The win is the second victory ever recorded by Iran on the World Cup stage and it takes the Asian nation to the top of the group while Morocco have it all to do from bottom spot with tough games against Portugal and Spain still to come.
