Lazio will want to quickly forget Monday night’s 3-0 defeat to Inter Milan.
The match showed a lot of promise for Simone Inzaghi’s side who showed what they were made of. However, the Biancocelesti fell short of expectations and were thumped by Luciano Spalletti’s team.
The boys from Milan started on a strong note when Mauro Icardi found the back of the net in the first half.
Things went from bad to worse for Lazio when Marcelo Brozovic scored a long-range stunner. Inzaghi’s team never looked like getting back into the game giving Icardi the chance to wrap the game up with his second to make it 3-0 in the 69th minute.
Lazio were let down today by a general lack of ambition from the squad. Nobody on the field, except Joaquin Correa who came on for Felipe Caicedo, showed a sign of scoring.
Ciro Immobile missed at least three good chances to give Lazio a way back into the game. Poor finishing and poor spirit made Inter walk all over Lazio.
